The purpose of the course is to share the thoughts and perspectives of individuals who are diagnosed with sickle cell disease with their providers.

This course aims to clearly state the perceptions SCD persons have towards their treatment by healthcare providers and other professionals.

It is the hope and expectation of the author and Axis Advocay that after completing this course, learners will be able to examine the thoughts of SCD individuals about the behaviors and misconceptions clinicians have towards them and the disease.
